Pinus thunbergii Ogi-matsu, Japanese black pine, USDA H6-hardy
A stiff, irregular dwarf with dark green needles and cockscomb shoots and mainly cockscomb-like groups of buds in a similar way to cryptomeria japonica cristata,(also normally in stock). In Japanese, ‘Ogi’ translates as ‘fan’. First listed 1988. 60x60cm in 10 years
