grow frost free, preferably indoors untill @4-5' tall....much as you would with pinus montezumae
A small tree/large shrub 6-12m in its native E. Mexico, but probably much less in the UK. Usually a short trunk with spreading ascending branches with drooping branchlets and needles. Bright green to blue-green needles at 5-12cm long. Purplish/yellowish pollen cones. Closely related to pinus maximartinezii, but hardier.
